Background

My background includes extensive experience in the evaluation of global and regional climate model simulations in terms of land-atmosphere interactions. My research at UFZ focuses on the use of remote sensing data to derive data products of water and energy surface fluxes that could be used to improve our understanding of land-atmosphere interactions and for the evaluation of climate model simulations. This is very important because of the relationship between land-atmosphere interactions and the evolution of climate extremes and climate variability near the land surface.
